My trip to California

Well it all started with flare to meet daman and we figured it out taht only time we can meet is the time during the christmas and new year vacation, it created a cocktail which was unable to resists...the plan was shaky as daman was going to india but took final shape in november ....when one night bored with study i finally booked up the tickets to california..te bas pher ki si..."No planning" was the word from shatir....So i was little bit pessimistic about the trip.Well now on the 1st jan when we are almost waapping it up it turned out be f****** awsome but there is still one week left ....from which i am not expecting much.
on the evening of arrival ...Daman was already high with rum...even i was excited to see him after a period of three and a half years.....and i must say we both have not changed a bit...I wished that IP, Depak, johny and sukhi were here.Anyways so this how it began we picked up the rest of the friends from LAX. The first thing we hit was IN and OUT where demon almost forced me to eat a hamburger....we ended our trip with last sips of rum to overcome the tiredness of the flight...and i must say even one peg seems to be too much....PS I miss my colledge time capacity.So that how the first evening in cali ended.


So on the very first day we ended up in UNIVERSAL STUDIO, the place where all those movies close to my heart are made or were paided to be made.Bai mann gaye america di MARKETTING nu. but before that we had a chole bature punjabi style at a DESI Sweet shop ....te phir amilya ne cha vi ta pini sigi....Its was already 11 by the time we were in So we had little time and so many things to see.....So we started with TOUR of UNIVERSAL STUDIO. The whole 70 Dollar ticket was paid in 5 minutes in the 4D experience inside the virtual sceen from the movie KINGKONG by PETER JACKSON. followed by the recreation of the sceen used in the movie KABBAKT ISHQ ( starring Akshay and kareena: when askya gets hurt...ya that one is from universal studio )....following it was the fake sets of the NEW york, london and european streets to shoot the sceen and i tell you we never realeased it ....even it that use the same street again and again just with different props...saw the real 747 used with the movie "WAR OF THE WORLDS"....Alas they didnt let us down fron the cart...( well guys on VIP Tour you can get special treatment like that)....the we headed for the main attractions like the JUSSARIC PARK and THE MuMMY Returns ride....we were caught in very odd expersions at different locations on the ride...so we have chosen the best ones to be sent out to you later...hope they make you laugh.....well all that concluded with the TERMINATOR 4D, Watreworld and Shrek 4D experience.

Well now comes the part that most of you will be looking forward to....Its night and Clubbing is the best thing you can do in second biggest city in california.I was little pessimistic because onging with a turbune in a night club does not seems to be a good... so after a little bit resisting daman i gave up....it was too cold outside as it was a record rainfal in last 4 days in california...anyways we got IN the club "HOLLYWOOD HIGHWAYS " around 11.I tell you i have never seen so many yellow skin chicks in my life ..ek to vad ke ek..but i knew i had a bleek chance with them...( from previous experiences ..)so i though getting drunk would be a good option..we all had shots of tequella along with beer...and guys rushed on the the dance floor to have some FUN...while i stayed at the bar taking whisky and observing.....baki kisa tahonu phone karke puch na pana....

We came back at 3.So that made clear the nxt day would be an off...Still we made some progress on the nxt day.....we though we will just chill out on the best place in california...Its "Beaches" and what better then SANTA MONICA beach.had a loads of fun on the beach then headed to the Daman 's BHANGRA PRACTICE. It remineded me of the old thapar days when IP, Jasmeet and Daman used to set fire on the stage...unforntunate it was shot lived ... the campus security pushed them out of the practice center as soon as We though we will have a sneak peak...anyways we had our dinner and made BIG Plan for tommorrow "THE SIX FLAGS MAGIC MOUNTAIN" ....The guys tried to wish me "Janam din mubarak but i was too sleep to acknowledge back"

Well The D day arrived it was one thing i was so excited about...ALLAS it was xmas and SIX FLAG was off.....it spoilled my mood completely...as i was considering it as my Bday present....anyways even the evening didnt turn out to be that great...had the arguments with daman on small things we had earlier...it was all fine in the end.....JUST check marked the HOLLYWOOD sign ...The STAPLE center ( where LA lakers were playing maimi heat....it was again a disappoitment as we reached the match ended...FUCK that shit...THE BDAY is never happening for me...had a special Moodswinger ( "BEER") and some food... hoping a for a better day tommorrow.

26th dec we started our journey on the most famous route in california ROUTE 101 along the sea coast to san JOse (well its pronoused SAN HOSEY). and by god it was beautiful...romantic and fun....we concluded our journey in san jose...made a stay at VIRDI and DALA 's place......that was our pit stop for nxt days trip to SAN FRANSISCo....but i must say those guys were very accomdating and fun...it was almost the 4 years before i saw vidi again...and he didnt changed a bit same that "GAMING freak" but he switched it off ...at least i didn't saw him playing off that period...Now comes the surprise part they invited us for ice skatting in the downtown...which was few blocks away...i had planned that thing back in IOWA but something are not best if left to planning....creating a balance was not difficult as i had layed hands of the skating a few times...before i lost my skates...overall an wonderful experience taking be back to the time i was learning skatting....the best part was i was up and running in NO time without landing on my hips. Daman was exciting to watch...i had a good laugh seeing him taking the challenge and enjoying it.I wished Pankaj , chandan and rohit joined us...but they had some other plans. VIRDI was also there first time....anyways the enjoying ended it with tiredness....we had to get ready for SAN FRANSISCO but before that got to catch some sleep.

27th dec...The day started with forgetting the captain morgan bottle that we purchased at dala's place...a little argument which was overcome while having parantha's at Ratan Sweets....The views on the road were breathtaking with a hint of fog...still the vehicles were crussing at 90mph...we reaches SF around 11 near pier 4....had few snaps taken and moved on to pier 39. Where the cuise to golden gate and elcatraze prison awaited us. and guess what whom we found on the cruise....PUNJABI's....(alu te punjabi har jagah paye jande ne). His name SUbobh Chaudhary...occupation IT ...green card holder who wanted to go back after 11 years in US ..but wasnt able to...jee ni jan to karda rangle US to. anyways the cuise moved on...under the golden gate and around elcatraze prison...had pleanty of pictures taken...then it was lunch time so we headed to a indian resturant ...which turned out to be a disappointment we lost significant time at lunch we had to make it up if we wanted to walk on golden gate. at the end after some discussion we ended up just riding through the bridge. and I must tell you it looked magnificant.some thing are not worth describing..so if you get a chance to be in SF, go to golden gate.The nxt thing was a an adventure ...it is called Twin peaks...these are the twin peaks from where you can see complete SF. we reached there during the sunset and saw the orange ball plunging into the landmass of mountains...and after that the complete city was lit up like a diamonds sparkle with light. I hope that we had same location to see a city everywhere. and then i realleased that america has created each city with a uniqueness and maiintained its uniqueness where its NEw york, chicago, atlanta, maimi,SF, los angles...They have passion to make the biggest, largest and greatest things in america....why cant we have that passion? they love there country like anything ...why are we so critic to our own nation? anyways enough of this ...lets move on ...that sounded like the end of the journey in SF...but last but no least FERMOUNT Gurudawara....It was a first big gurudwara i had seen and heard a proper kirtan after 8 months.we drove back to LA around 2 p.m.


we knew we will be waking up late so let it be.....all guys were woken up by the smell of alu parantha from DAMAN.....i must say he has become acceptional cook..i ate three parantha before my tummy had enough..so What's the plan...Nobody wanted to go to 6 flags as it was aready half a day..so lets hit the beaches...Manhattan and laguna beach....and wanted to have bone fire at hangton beach. so we hit the road around 12 and reached manhatttan around 1 ....we just chilled out on the beach for an hour before moving on to the languna ....there we saw the sunset and wanted to move on to hangton...but it was vetoed....so we hit the bed early at home.

The nxt day was also was a shitty one.RAINING nxt day...so again the SIX FLAGS was off....any ways rain stopped at the mid of the day so we though lets not miss the oppernuity so we headed to the Shopping.Shopping is one thing which can change your mood like anything if you are sad go for shopping....the most expensive day in California but alos most pleasing one.

30th dec...time to hit the road and see the SIN City....one thing we noticed oddly on our way was the ice on the sides of the road well taht was never heard off.we made a stop over to have a sanwich at subway...the thing we noticed was the owner was "Ravinder Singh Grewal".One thing we were worried about was taht we went without the reservation....so luckly we got a hotel room at the end of the famous Vegas strip by 5.Daman had an exciting nite as we went to the top of the stratosphere which is 108 floors high and you can see city which looked like a flowing river of light.....This must be the smallest and most brightest place on the earth.The DJ was On and we were in mood of dancing so it was awsome to do bhangra in Vegas.thats how the 1st night in Vegas ended.

On the last day of an awsome year we wokeup at 10. we ready by 12 had a brunch at an indian resuturat....and then we had our orders "LET THE GAMBLING BEGIN"...We lost 200$ in an hour well that was our appitite so......what nxt to do...oh ya THE FAMOUS VEGAS Strip....the rest is just shear human imagination.....and only picures speaks louder that worlds....

THe coundown of the new year was done in the famous Square which had THE BELLAGIO, PLANET HOLLYWOOD and PARIS.....around million people and almost everybody drunk...at that moment each one of though we should be with our other half in such a city and in such a atmosphere.

wHATS Important Mhats N0T!

whats Important? This is a serious as it can get! We have everthing friends, family, job etc but some there is urge for more in us. i have it but I wish that if i didnt had it then may be i would have been better off. BUT this is the fire that keeps us going and this struggle is necessary to keep man on the path of progress.It is necessary yet but isnt desire is the root of all evils.

i have been caught in the crossfire of "What to do?". Do i need more than i have! And in order to have more Do I have to loose all i have.Because thats the way i have dashed out last time. I Need to focus. I need an inspiration or I would say like teenage days "A NO WAY OUT" can push me. But This time it can make or break my life. The question is : Am I serious enough to take that Risk?Am i capable enough to come through with flying colours? It easy to swim when you with flow.I need a flow.It seems i have become a man without backbone.A man without a way.

DAM I HATE THIS MAN I HAVE BECOME.

this not what i wanted to become.

I never had been in such a pain for being i such a comfortable suitation.I need a way. A way which can put me at peace with my moral.
